Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders

Treatment Specialties

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are neurodevelopmental conditions that affect how an individual focuses, organizes, and responds to the world around them.

Having ADD/ADHD means your brain processes information and responds to stimulation differently.  You may lack impulse control, be easily distracted, or feel emotions more intensely than others. You can also easily feel overstimulated or drained from trying to keep up with and complete everyday tasks that overwhelm or frustrate you, even when they are important to you.

At Prime Therapy, we focus on the unique ways individuals with ADD/ADHD think and feel to encourage them to work with their brain, rather than against it.

You will meet in individual or group therapy where we will teach you skills to help manage intense emotions and increase your focus, as well as work with you to build a daily routine to help manage and decrease the sense of being overwhelmed and frustrated that accompanies ADD/ADHD.
