Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a therapeutic approach that combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness practices (breathing, meditation, present-moment awareness, etc.)
As the various mindfulness practices teach you how to be more present and centered within yourself, CBT will teach you how to notice & shift interfering/negative thought patterns before they lead to emotional distress.
At Prime, the goal of MBCT is to teach skills to help you respond to your thoughts with clarity and self-compassion while encouraging you to focus on the present moment to avoid reaching a state of emotional distress.
