Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) helps you learn to control your mind rather than letting it control you, and to accept yourself while at the same time knowing and wanting to change. DBT skills are actually life skills. At Prime Therapy, our step-by-step DBT approach, using the Prime DBT Workbook, teaches you skills that will enhance mindfulness, learn distress tolerance, understand emotion regulation, and address relationship effectiveness. Drawing upon our many years of experience, we've developed our own DBT Skills Guide that you'll use during your sessions.

Accepting your experiences, rather than suppressing and avoiding them, will help you accomplish your goals and improve your overall mental health. We offer DBT in individual sessions and in our outpatient weekly DBT group sessions for adolescents, young adults, and adults.
As you reflect on your mental health, your struggles, and your family dynamics, we help you understand and normalize what you are going through. Our therapists work with you to build skills and learn more effective coping strategies for you to use in your everyday life.
